Do There Any Higher Order Thinking Skills in the Cambridge Primary Mathematics Textbook?

The poor results of national and international assessments make the curriculum get criticism. Meanwhile, Cambridge gets popular because its quality. Textbooks as manifestations affect student learning. This study describes Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dominance level in Primary Mathematics 4 textbooks which are Teacher's Resources Learner's Book. uses a directed qualitative content analysis method. research shows that all HOTS levels (analyze, evaluate, create) spread across four major themes (number, measure, data handling, geometry) Resource Theoretically, Book can teach critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication learning this book student-centered approach teacher actively provides scaffolding using open-ended questions, discussions, group activities. creating is dominant Book.
 Abstrak
 Hasil assesmen nasional dan internasional yang konsisten buruk membuat kurikulum menuai kritik. Sementara itu, diminati sejumlah kalangan karena dianggap lebih berkualitas. Buku teks sebagai manifestasi berpengaruh terhadap pembelajaran siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan dominasi levelnya dalam buku terdiri dari Teacher’s Learner’s Penelitian menggunakan metode analisis isi kualitatif terarah. menunjukkan bahwa ketiga (menganalisis, mengevaluasi, mencipta) tersebar keempat tema besar handling data, Secara teoretis, dapat membelajarkan muatan terpusat pada siswa guru aktif memberikan pertanyaan open-ended, diskusi, serta aktivitas berkelompok. didominasi oleh mencipta, sedangkan menganalisis.
